Amendments to Regulation CC modified the regulation to reflect current check collection and return requirements in the virtually all-electronic check collection and return environment and to encourage depositary instructions to receive, and paying banks to send, returned checks electronically. The FRB also is applying Reg CC’s existing check warranties to checks that are collected electronically and has also adopted new warranties and indemnities related to checks collected and returned electronically and to electronically-created items.
This informative session reviews the changes implemented by this latest FRB amendment to Reg CC and what this means for your institution in its operations, policies, and procedures as well as what you need to know to stay in compliance and minimize financial losses.
