Mitigating ACH & Wire Fraud

Fraud, fraud, fraud, and more fraud. Financial institutions and organizations alike are faced with scams almost daily. If it isn’t the business itself, it is one of their customers or vendors. Rare is the business or consumer that hasn’t suffered a loss because of fraud. While we do hear of new fraud schemes, the old scams are often dressed up and presented as something new. While the winning of a lottery by a ticket never purchased is still around, some newer fraud schemes are showing their faces. With the increase in person to person (P2P) and account to account transfers (A2A), account holders may send funds to unknown sources only to become a victim of fraud, or account takeover results in debits to external accounts later returned as unauthorized.

Technology plays a tremendous role in our daily lives and in fraud as well. Now more than ever, organizations and consumers must take an active role in protecting themselves and their assets. Please join Ameerah Needham, AAP, APRP, for this informative session where we identify the most common fraud tactics and discuss ways for your organization to manage and mitigate ACH & wire losses due to fraud.
